The highly modern Unimicron Germany drilling center incorporates various processes:
Next generation CNC automatic drilling machines are used for mechanical drilling. Bore holes which are needed for through-hole components and for plating through the single layers are inserted here. Drills with a diameter from 0.20 to 6.35 mm are used.
Smaller bore holes for microvias are inserted via a laser process.
